Letter from the Louisiana Department of Health to Louisiana State University

Dr. Joseph Kanter, Louisiana State Health Officer and Medical Director sent a letter to Louisiana State University President, Dr. William F. Tate regarding their effort on mitigating the transmission of COVID-19 by requiring COVID-19 vaccination as entry to their schools. While he notes that the statute La. R.S 17:170 does mention exemptions, he does not go into great detail about them.

Update: A few months after the fall requirement and vaccine passport requirement for football games, LSU noted that cases spiked to 365 positive cases on January 10, 2022.
